You gave us the most wonderful introduction to Georgia and we returned so much richer and informed about the tumultuous history, the art works, the architecture and all the beauties of Georgia.

We enjoyed the sightseeing SO much, MORE than words can express, each day was perfect and indeed, together with the sunny weather, no tour could have been better. It was a total success and I cannot thank you enough for all you did to ensure the happiness of my friends travelling with me for the first time in Georgia.

We had an absolutely fantastic time in St Petersburg and then Moscow. Our heads are still spinning; there is so much to take in.  Your organisation was fantastic. There is such a wealth of riches and thoughts that is was heaven not having to give a moment thought as to how to filter what we should see and how to organise how we should get there let alone to see anything and understand it. All the leg work and curatorship was done so magnificently that we were able to absorb, think, appreciate and simply enjoy.

It was a wonderful and an absolutely fascinating trip to St Petersburg. I’m so glad I was able to go. Everything was beautifully organised and we didn’t need to make any decisions about anything. Brilliant and hugely knowledgeable guides. We saw so many outstanding treasures – it was incredible.

That was a fabulous trip. Your recommendation to go to Moscow first and luxury overnight train completed the Russian tour. Andrei was splendid and ‘toured’ us well, even catering perfectly for our dietary complications. I have to say, the guides, both in Moscow & St P were exceptional – fluent, knew their stuff and engaging.

At long last I am writing to thank you for the most wonderful 5 days in St. Petersburg. Robert and I were absolutely gobsmacked by the splendour of the palaces and the attention to detail in the restoration projects. Our guides were such a joy to be with and the pride that they obviously have for St Petersburg and Russia is inspiring. Our nights at the ballet in those glorious theatres were breathtaking. The hotel was most comfortable and efficient with kind and courteous staff.

Robert and I cannot thank you enough.

Thank you so much for the faultless preparations for the tours. It was just wonderful with no hiccups and both Elena and Julia were superb. I cannot conceive my tour without them! Everybody loves them and they speak so clearly and succinctly. All the menus were excellent. I have made some tiny comments on the Menu Sheet and given them to Antonia. For next year, same food again! Thank you so much for everything.

What a wonderful city St. Petersburg is: our visit exceeded our expectations in all respects. The palaces and their contents defy description and can only be fully appreciated when seen in their setting and I am so pleased I read the books by Robert Massie that you recommended. The food was excellent and in particular we enjoyed lunch at Café Uno and our evenings at the Stroganoff Steakhouse. The ballet was magical, again the setting is simply something to be experienced and Yevgenia Obraztsova danced Giselle beautifully. Sheelagh, in particular, was thrilled to experience a troika ride in the snow through the English Park with the Palace of Pavlovsk as a backdrop. Finally, I found the visit to the Memorial of the Defenders of Leningrad very poignant.

Notwithstanding all that, without superb guides so charming, entertaining and immensely knowledgeable, one could not have enjoyed and learnt as much and, of course, it is thanks to you and your local knowledge and personal feelings towards what is, essentially, your mother country. A wonderful trip and I will send you the pictures which will be a happy reminder for both Sheelagh and I of our five days in St. Petersburg. With very kind regards,

To let you know I had such a wonderful trip to St. Petersburg this February. It had been my dream for years to make this trip. To visit such a beautiful city is a pleasure in itself but to be shown the sights by Tania and her team was to give it a depth beyond one’s wildest dreams. The hotel was spot-on, in a good location and the food excellent.

Elena and Julia were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their city that we could not help but fall in love with it also. Professor Alexei also added a huge dimension to our knowledge and made everything so interesting and added the element of fun.

Would you please pass on to ‘your dream team’ my heartfelt appreciation of their wonderful efforts to bring their unforgettable city to life for us all. An added thanks to Julia, who kindly returned to a restaurant and retrieved my hat. Above and beyond the call of duty and much appreciated. Thank you also for all your help so generously given.

I’ve been meaning to write to let you know how much everyone enjoyed your expertise during our time in St. Petersburg, so getting your message from LinkedIn came at a good time. We have many happy memories of St. Petersburg and really appreciated the programs you set up for us. We were so lucky with the weather and it was a gorgeous time to be in St. Petersburg and to see the fountains at Peterhof, even though they had officially closed. We have just returned home and Julie and I would like to thank you for making our visit to St. Petersburg so enjoyable. There is no doubt we learned far more with your help and encyclopedic knowledge than we could ever have experienced on a ‘cruise’ tour. Those who told us about them were all disappointed with both the time spent at the sights and the guide’s brief explanations.
