The city of St. Petersburg is one of Russia’s main entertainment centers. This ‘City of Artists’ is the spiritual home of both Russia’s live music and dance music scene.

When the lights of downtown St. Petersburg begin to shimmer on the Gulf waters, St Petersburg nightlife comes alive. The music scene is diverse and colourful: the majority of well-known Russian rock bands have originated from here. Refurbished cinemas equipped with high fidelity sound systems show the latest Western films. The city also has a great diversity of high-quality restaurants, bars and night clubs. The prices are affordable and great value in comparison to any other large European city, including Moscow.

• Buddha Bar – situated on two floors of monumental proportions, the latest member of the brand family of Buddha-Bars. Disco space and bar on the ground floor and an excuisite restaurant of pan asian cuisine on the 1st floor.

• Santa Barbara – a very popular nightclub, the “Best Club of the Year 2018”. Includes 3 dance halls and a karaoke room. Relaxed atmosphere.

• Jazz Philharmonic Hall – a little highfalutin and formal, combination of jazz and restaurant and has some of the best jazz in St Petersburg

• Department 57 – restaurant and club overlooking the Fontanka River. The Chef is known for his love of experimenting with textures, flavors and presentation paying attention to vegetable dishes, sauces and food design. The club offers dancing to r’n’b, hip-hop, pop and retro.

• JFC Club – trendy, democratic, nice atmosphere; often hosts jazz concerts by Russian and foreign musicians of various styles: from classic to avant-garde and improvisation. Popular with jazz afficienados, local and international clientele

• Jimmy Hendrix – some Peterburgers say it’s a good place to listen to live jazz, blues and rock concerts. It’s located in the basement of an old building, quite small inside, but cozy

• Kuznya House – located in the old Forge building, on the New Holland Island in the city centre. The historical premises are divided into three parts: dancing/concert room with a bar, stage and seating areas, kitchen and a tea room with large sofas and bookshelves. In summer, there is a large outdoor terrace overlooking the island’s herb garden.
